Celebrate WildFire!

We are angry that the agencies and media has demonized wildfire, calling it destructive & catastrophic vs cleansing & regenerative.

We are angry that millions of dollars are going toward landscaping the homes of wealthy vs true forest stewardship.

We are upset that live healthy trees & tree snags are being removed from the forest based off of prescriptions consisting of outdated science.

We are angry that the agencies are not looking at the new science and are stuck in old paradigms.

We believe the forests need the human component in them and we should not isolate the human from nature.

We believe 'cleaning' the forest with human intuition is better than large mechanical means where a machine operator in a cab of a masticator can make the decisions of life or death of a tree.

We believe that institutional knowledge is not allow for actual knowing thru intuition and spiritual connection to the land.

We believe that wildfire should be celebrated for her selective balance of life and death without the need for human intervention.

We believe monies should not go toward cutting trees, but should be used for home hardening and defensible space around homes.

We believe in wildfire's ability to burn in a healthy mosaic by the natural fire waterways, promoting beaver and wetland ecosystems as means of utilizing a natural fire break, not the firebreak where agencies thin live trees to create their firebreak.

We believe that agencies need to address the fine-fuels in an area, a forest cannot sustain a wildfire without the fine fuel component of needles, grasses, and smaller woody material loosely packed together.
